It’s the first week back at school, and my teacher brain already has a list a mile long. 😊
Things to organize.
Things to plan.
Things I forgot I needed to do.
And about 47 things I suddenly decided would be a great idea. 😂
But here’s something I’m reminding myself this year:
I don’t have to do everything to make progress.
I don’t need the perfect classroom.
I don’t need to finish the entire to-do list.
And outside of school, I don’t need to work on every goal every single day.
Some days, showing up and doing the next right thing is enough.
As teachers, we’re really good at reminding our students that learning takes time.
Maybe we need to give ourselves that same grace.
Progress doesn’t require doing everything. It requires continuing to show up.
And tomorrow? We show up again. ❤️
See you next Wednesday for another Teacher Truth.
Cheering you on,
Jodi
